Mac’s Club Deuce at Midnight

South Beach is known for its shine but Mac’s Club Deuce feels like the opposite and that’s why I love it! 

You walk in and it’s smoky and full of life. Neon signs, jukebox on and there’s a pool table that’s been around forever. The bar’s been here since 1925 and it still feels like it hasn’t changed much. Happy hour runs pretty much all day, from 8AM to 7PM which says it all. And they do 0% beer for anyone not drinking.

The crowd’s a mix - regulars who’ve clearly been here for years and the occasional tourist who’ve heard about it from Anthony Bourdain or just wandered in off the street. Everyone blends together. Conversations across tables, usually with something random playing on the TVs.

Drinks are exactly what you’d expect… cold, cheap and easy. No food but that’s not really what this place is about.

The bartenders keep things moving. Mac’s isn’t flashy. It’s just a good spot to sit, have a drink and feel like part of the room for a while.

Outfit-wise, I went for a thrifted tee, Twisted Taylor trousers, and Taylor Morris sunglasses.

A place like this you can’t recreate. Pure soul. Rich energy.
