Borrow, don’t follow.

Style isn’t about getting it right.
It’s about knowing what feels right on you.
Most trends aren’t new.
They’re recycled, reworked, reintroduced with a slightly different energy.
Different decade. Same idea.
The mistake is thinking you have to follow them exactly as they’re presented.
You don’t.

The interesting part is what happens when you take pieces from different places.
A colour from the 70s.
A silhouette from the 90s.
A fabric that feels more current.
And then you let it land in a way that actually fits your life.
That’s where it starts to feel like style, not imitation.
Lately I’ve been thinking more about this, especially coming into spring.
Lighter layers.
More colour.
More room to experiment.

But still grounded.
Still wearable.
Still mine.
I’ve been pulling together a few references — things I’m wearing, things I’m looking at, things I’m considering next.
Not as rules.
Just as starting points.
Because that’s all style should be.
Something you build from, not something you follow.
